Abstract: The parental authority represents all the rights and obligations regarding the person and the goods of the child and is exercised equally by both parents in the best interests of the child. This is naturally achieved through shared living. The divorce of parents should not affect neither theoretically nor factually the parent-child relationships. However, conflicts between parents, as a result of divorce, have as main victims children, who are most often trapped in a war of pride, which ultimately leads to a rejuvenation of the child from one of his parents. This paper aims to analyze one of the main negative effects of the divorce, namely the deprivation of the child from the presence and affection of one of the parents.
