Abstract: This presentation consists of the analysis of a secion from Emmanuel Macron’s arguments in one of his recent speeches, in which he talks about rearming of Europe. Without attempting to evaluate the substantial dimension of his speech, or his view or ideas, the analysis will fully concentrate to understanding and applying the mechanisms of constructing a logical reasoning. Firstly, it will offer an explanation upon the nature of deductions, the ways in which they can be constructed, as well as reviewing the main types of deductions identified in Macron’s speech. Furtherly, the most relevant arguments will be formalized then analyzed, so to evaluate their logical validity. The analyzed speech can be watched on France24, dated 5 march 2025 (https://www.france24.com/en/europe/20250305- watch-full-speech-macron-calls-for-major-european-rearmament). The main points of the speech are the threats to Europe and the fact that the stability of Ukraine means stability for the entire european continent.
