Abstract: The article analyzes the application of modern imaging techniques in the investigation of crime scenes in cases of suspicious deaths. It underscores how technological advancements enhance the accuracy and efficiency of forensic investigations. Advanced methods, such as 3D scanning, photogrammetry, and forensic imaging techniques like radiography, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of cadavers, provide significant benefits in terms of detailed documentation of the crime scene and the preservation of its integrity. The adaptation of these technologies to current technical standards can significantly improve the outcomes of investigations, particularly in cases involving suspicious deaths.
Keywords: Crime scene investigation, modern imaging techniques, three-dimensional scanning (3D), photogrammetry, virtopsy, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), Suspicious deaths.
