Abstract: Adoption, a way that gives the child whose parents are unwilling or unable to care for him, or are not suitable for the role of parents, the opportunity to live in a family environment, generates strong feeling and debate, being influenced by ongoing social changes. As a way to create civil kinship that ties supersede biological parentage, adoption of known contemporany period exploded, becoming an international phenomen that required legislative action to prevent and combat child trafficking. Act 273/2004, regarding the legal aspects of adoption, has undergone a number of important amendments under Government Emergency Ordinance 102/2008 and Act 49/2009 regarding the aspects of international adoption.
