Abstract: The accurate interpretation of bloodstains is extremely important in criminal and civil proceedings, especially in cases where the cause of death cannot be precisely determinEditura The chosen topic focuses on determining the point of origin of bloodstains, demonstrating that their analysis can provide highly valuable information. The height from which a drop of blood falls and its volume influence how the blood trail will form. Among many other things, interpreting blood traces at the scene helps us to know whether the person was standing, moving or running, whether the source is from a bleeding wound or from certain objects stained with the victim's blood. In order to identify the place in space where the blood that produced the wound originated, and the point where the wound was at the time the mark was formed (the point of origin), we must first calculate the angle of impact and establish the point of convergence, which are covered in this paper.
