Abstract: The child and its rights have always constituted central elements on which both the national authorities and the existing ones on an European level should focus their attention on. Being the vulnerable category of every society, their protection can only be done through efficient measures adopted at an international and European level. Firstly, this research paper analyses the existing regulatory framework at the European level, meant to guarantee the children’s protection against violence and exploitation. Secondly, particular situations are presented, which highlight the existing way in which the authorities from every state meet their obligations when cases of children being victims of violence or forced labor are reported.
Keywords: children’s rights; violence; exploitation; disabled children; forced labor; protection
