Abstract: The new concept of sovereignty is linked to the concept of European integration. Today, the classic sense of the concept of sovereignty has changed, because it speaks of a supranational power and about cooperation between the Member States. It should also be marked the moment of globalization, which is linked into opposition to the concept in question. The article points out the idea that integration into the European Union requires compromises from Member States. Equally, one can speak of a shared sovereignty and the fact that sovereignty does not disappear, but simply limited. Thus, to avoid conflict, you do not have to know who actually possesses sovereignty, but we must appreciate that each part is sovereign.
