Abstract: On the one hand, language is autonomous, but, on the other hand, it is in close contact with the surrounding world. Each community makes up its own ethnocultural universe based on economic, political, social and cultural elements. Comparing phraseologies reveals cultural and national differences and similarities. Proverbs have been one of the best means of transferring legal information. There are legal cultural peculiarities the translator must take into account.
