Abstract: The present study aims to answer some questions regarding the registration at the Romanian trade register of some important moments in the process of merging companies. For this we have found it useful to present, briefly, the Union and Romanian legislation regarding the effects of the merger (section 1), the three general effects of the merger (section 2), the legal consequences of marking these effects, such as determining the moment of the merger and its opposition to third parties (section 3), finally, to point the Internet role in analyzing the effects presented in the previous sections, to formulate personal points of view, and proposals de lege ferenda, in the last section and conclusions.
